What happened with Arden yesterday genuinely broke my heart. First of all Arden came onto Teen Wolf being extremely hated. Many fans were mad that she was a replacement for Allison, etc. She get’s tons of hate for this. Not only does she have to struggle with this but she’s also had to face backlash because of her race etc, there’s this podcast where she talks about all the hate and struggles she’s had to overcome and it’s so so sad and empowering at the same time. Now Arden is a main character on teen wolf, she promotes the show all the time, interacts with fans, and sends her love to cast members all the time. She is incredibly supportive of the tv show and her role on it. And she was already cut out of 4 episodes this season. Arden filmed for yesterday’s episode and she was cut out of it without even knowing it. She wasn’t given a second of screen time even though she thought she had. She spent her time working on that episode and they decided to completely cut her out of it. It’s really heartbreaking seeing her initial confusion and then the fact that she deleted the tweets (she was probably forced too). Right now she’s liking a bunch of tweets thanking her for being Kira, or just expressing concern/anger over where kira was last night, and if you guys have twitter I think it would be really nice to tweet her something. Kira and Arden are both amazing strong badass women of color and they deserve so much more love and support than they get. I don’t care if you don’t like Kira as a character, at least treat Arden with respect and kindness she worked so hard to get to where she is and she’s such an incredible role model.
